Enabling solutions

The world is in the early stages of a massive transition to a low-carbon economy. The good news is that this gives us a chance to head off runaway climate change; the bad news is that it's only a chance.

Every enterprise needs to be looking at the role it can play while meeting its primary objectives.
  • For companies, that will mean heading off risks and looking for the business opportunities in large scale economic change
  • For investors, it will mean spotting trends to ride, and using judicious investments to help make markets
  • For governments, it will mean enabling solutions that bring together the assets and strengths of industry, investors and the State.
We need the three sectors to work together on "Enabling Solutions" that meet the challenge of climate change.

Our duty is to be useful, not according to our desires but according to our powers."
-- Henri-Frédéric Amiel, Swiss philosopher

This site has not been in use for the past few years - my work is now focused at the Climate Bonds Initiative, mobilizing bond markets to finance climate change solutions. Please do check that out.
